Features

The Solution
Our online backup and storage system is fast and reliable because it uses time proven technologies such as PKZIP and FTP. Your backups are stored off-site in their original format or in a compressed PKZIP file with optional data encryption. Your backups are transported off site to our servers via FTP and stored in a highly secure "Data Grade" facility with conditioned environment and UPS power.

Easy to Use
Backup and Restore process are easy to use. The backup software can automatically locate and backup important files such as Windows Registry or Microsoft Outlook data files. Your data can be restored simply by browsing the backup folders, dragging and dropping the files on the folder where you wish to restore them.

Reliable
Your data is stored in our On-line storage systems. Data is duplicated daily to redundant backup servers which are not connected to the Internet. You also have the option of receiving copies of your backup data on a CD and storing them at yet another site. We mail the CD to your office, home, fireproof storage facility or other location.

Future Proof
Have you ever tried to restore files that were backed with older tape drives or software versions? Most likely you can't. This is because most systems require you to restore with the same software version and tape format that made the backup. If you have upgraded your tape software or tape drive, you probably cannot restore your older backups. The PKZIP compressed storage format is time proven. It has been around for many years and is now built-in to operating systems like Windows XP and Vista. This ensures you will be able to access your files for many years to come.

Time Proven
The backup software and systems we use are based on technologies that have stood the test of time. Our backup software uses time tested and proven technologies to make sure your data backups are reliable, secure and retrievable for many years to come.

Security
We take many precautions to ensure that your backups are secure. We use strong alpha numeric user ID's and Passwords and have put security measures in place to prevent someone from trying to randomly guess user ID's and Passwords. You decide how much security your data requires and can set the security level differently on each backup job based on what you are backing up. Optionally, you have the ability to encrypt your data with the "Blowfish" encryption algorithm. Blowfish is a very secure "Encryption Key" driven security method that has not been broken.

Storage Formats
You have to choice to store your files in their original format, compress them choosing one of many different compression levels and optionally encrypt them with strong Blowfish encryption. Backups can be stored on date coded folders for easy identification and restore.

Backup Types
Backup types are flexible and can be mixed. You have the flexibility to create different types of backup jobs for different types of data. For instance: Monday-Thursday run an incremental backup that backs up only files that have changed and on Friday run a full backup.
File Synchronization - You may choose to synchronize the contents of your files and directories between your PC or Server and our backup server hourly, daily or weekly.
Incremental Backup - Backup only the information that has changed. Back it up hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
Full Backup - You may choose to backup all of your files based on the schedule you choose; daily, weekly or monthly.

HIPAA Compliance With our solution, your backups will be in "Full Compliance" with the final version of HIPAA rules. Part of the HIPAA rules require that you have adequate data backups, disaster recovery and an emergency operating mode plan in place. Our solution enables you to comply with these requirements. Your data is compressed and encrypted with a highly secure encryption method and key prior to being sent to our off-site backup servers. The encryption key is "Customer Known" and is never sent to our servers or publicly exposed. There is no master key. Should you loose or forget this key, your backups are rendered inaccessible.
